Betty Plank Research Library - Grand Opening 6-25-23

   

Come and join the Ashland County Historical Society for their Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting Event at the Betty Plank Research Library.

Cost:  Free and open to the public

James and Suzanne Clark left a generous bequest to the Ashland County Historical Society. These funds have allowed us to expand our presence in the community. The completion of the Freer Home, a new Carriage House Roof, and the addition of staff members who are experts in their field are just a few examples of the good that has come of this gift.
 
The Board and Staff felt it was important to acknowledge such a large gift and voted to name the building after James and Suzanne. The inside of the Carriage House will house the Betty Plank Research Library. The staff has been spending the last six months collecting all of our history books, files, tapes, scrapbooks, and pictures into this one location.
