ABOUT US... The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. In keeping with the mission of The Salvation Army, The Ashland Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center provides a state of the art facility, community programs, and services that encourage positive living, offer life-changing experiences for children and adults, strengthen families, and enrich the lives of seniors. These programs and services promote educational enrichment, life skills development, and spiritual and physical wellness. In accordance with the Christian mission of The Salvation Army, these resources are offered without discrimination to uplift individuals and benefit those in need. The Ashland Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center is a member of the Cleveland Food bank. Individuals may request food assistance on a walk-in basis once per month.
NOTE: The Food Pantry is now located in our Annex. Ohio Benefit Bank - Monday-Friday: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Available by appointment only. Contact Sara Garska, Counselor, at 419.281.8001 to schedule an appointment. Utility Assistance - Utility assistance is offered as funds are available through various assistance programs such as Heatshare, Citizens Energy, ProjectReach and general donations. Other Assistance -Services to homeless individuals and families are available in conjunction with the community ACCESS program.
